Carl & Mesha Irish
My name is Carl Irish, General Manager of and (more importantly) your host at West End Bay Condos.
Born and raised in Montserrat, I fled to Anguilla in 1996 when the volcano eruption destroyed my home. From that day forward, I was fascinated with my island surroundings—The people , the geology, the ecology, the economy, the culture. The Anguillian easy going lifestyle.
I transferred from Cable & Wireless Montserrat from sales & Marketing and customer service to Cable & Wireless Anguilla , now known as FLOW. In the year 2000 , I was awarded Customer services Rep of the 16 units of Cable & Wireless in the region.
In 2000 I met the owners of Altamer Resort. Impressed by my impeccable service and attention to detail, they recruited me for their inaugural resort staff at the Altamer Resort.
At Altamer Resort, I worked my way up from Junior Butler to General Manager. In the process, I was awarded “Supervisor of the Year” by the Anguilla Tourism Board in 2006 and “Hotelier of the Year” by the Anguilla Hotel and Tourism Association in 2016 and served on the Anguilla Hotel and Tourism Association Board of Directors from 2015 to 2018.
In 2018, I realized my dream to add something new, with my personal stamp and attention to quality, to the land I love and the tourism industry in which I made my career. I departed Altamer Resort to focus and manage our 2 properties , West End Bay Rental Properties.
West End Bay Rentals— West End Bay Holiday Apartments—is that dream, now a reality. It is my life’s work, my labor of love, and my legacy.
As such, Mesha and I are personally committed to making your stay on Anguilla exceed your wildest expectations of a carefree, stress-free, luxurious Caribbean getaway.
